Do you remember IAC?

These are the students of the Inclusive Arts Course of which I lead the dance module of here in Cambodia. None of them had ever danced before they met me, and very few had seen any contemporary dance at all.

I have been working with them almost every day teaching them dance technique, harvesting their creativity and encouraging their group work and leadership skills.

And last week they lead their first ever workshop. We had a visiting group from Singapore and all the other dance groups were busy (it’s a very busy place here at Epic) so the responsibility, slightly prematurely fell down to IAC.

However it wasn’t prematurely at all! They did an amazing job, and I’m so proud of them.

And of myself, because for the first time ever I am aware that they have had no other dance input other than me. They delivered to a high standard and with confidence, and I am very excited for what is to come for this talented group of individuals.

I can’t wait to see what comes of them next.
